In November 1992, Dr. Francis J. Kleeman, along with his wife Alphine, his children and several enthusiastic volunteers, established a free medical clinic for patients without health insurance in York County, Maine. Dr. Kleeman retired from the practice of urology and as Chief of Urology at the Southern Maine Medical Center, Biddeford, Maine on January 1, 2000. He continues as the President of the clinic and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Southern Maine Medical Center. He teaches medical students at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and Nova Southeastern Medical School. Dr. Kleeman continues to volunteer at the Biddeford Free Clinic on a regular basis.
